Order UHMWPE cut to your exact dimensions in a wide range of colours and thicknesses.
Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) exhibits exceptional wear and abrasion resistance, along with remarkable impact strength, even in temperatures below -200°C.
UHMWPE showcases excellent chemical resistance, low moisture absorption, a minimal coefficient of friction, and superior anti-stick properties.
Widely applied in high-wear scenarios, it is used in applications ranging from conveyor wear strips and guide rails to scraper blades for road roller equipment.
MATERIAL PERFORMANCE
Ideal for high-friction and high-wear applications where long service life is essential.
Promotes smooth material flow while helping reduce sticking and drag.
Performs reliably under heavy loads, impact and demanding operating conditions.
Suitable for harsh environments where exposure to many chemicals is expected.
Has very low moisture absorption and does not readily absorb water.
Helps dampen vibration and sound in moving and material-handling systems.
APPLICATIONS
RANGE
UHMWPE sheet is available in the following standard colour options.
Colour swatches shown are indicative only. Actual UHMWPE colour and appearance may vary between product grades and screen displays.
UHMWPE, or Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, is a tough, high-performance plastic sheet known for its excellent wear resistance, impact strength and low-friction surface.
UHMWPE is commonly used for wear strips, chute liners, conveyor components, chain guides, impact plates, marine pads, cutting surfaces, sliders and industrial protection panels.
Yes. UHMWPE is one of the best plastic materials for wear and abrasion resistance, making it ideal for parts that experience sliding, rubbing or repeated contact.
Yes. UHMWPE has a naturally low-friction surface, which helps materials slide easily across it and reduces wear on moving parts.
Yes. UHMWPE sheet can be cut to custom sizes and shapes using saw cutting or CNC routing.
Yes. UHMWPE can be drilled, routed and machined, although sharp tools and correct cutting speeds are recommended because the material can move slightly during machining.
Yes. UHMWPE has excellent resistance to many chemicals, moisture and cleaning agents, making it suitable for industrial, marine and food-related applications.
UHMWPE is generally more wear-resistant, more impact-resistant and has lower friction than standard HDPE. HDPE is still strong and versatile, but UHMWPE is usually the better choice for high-wear or sliding applications.
